Method:
Sieve flour and salt in bowl, make a well and add the oil, pour in the water adding to flour gradually. Keep batter stiff, as the egg whites will thin it down. Leave in cool place for 1 hour. When batter is ready for use, whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Dip each apple ring into batter and fry in deep hot fat.
